The purpose of this training is to increase Labor's field organizing capacity to elect pro-worker candidates in targeted races. The training will also ensure participants overcome volunteer hesitation, hold conversations with union members, increase participation in campaigns, and understand the chain of command for effective campaign communication. Purpose: Increase Labors field organizing capacity to elect pro-worker candidates in targeted races by preparing leaders and staff to conduct 2 hour political bootcamps across the state. The bootcamp participants will Practice holding conversations that move union members to overcome volunteer hesitation and participate in the campaign. Develop a plan to stand up a canvass for a targeted precinct or zone. Workers' Memorial Day Concert

On Workers’ Memorial Day, we gather to honor the lives of workers who have lost their lives on the job and to stand together in remembrance and solidarity. This day is a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting workers and ensuring that every person returns home safely. Join us for a free Workers’ Memorial Day Concert featuring live music, powerful and inspiring remarks, and time to come together as a community. Food and refreshments will be provided. Union members, families, and community supporters are invited to reflect, remember, and stand together as we honor those we have lost and recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for safer workplaces and dignity on the job. Wear your union colors, come share your story, and bring your friends and family. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly and have enough food and refreshments for all.
